OK, so today (or 11:00 last night) was my first day back to work. I am sooo lucky
to have a tele-commuting type job and an employer who is willing to let me work from Hawaii!! Thank you OMEGA HEALTH SYSTEMS (your friendly ergonomic needs provider, and yes, that's a plug)! Then I had some training to provide this morning at 7am and I just want to tell you, this is what I saw out the window as I worked... a big turkey came walking out of the hibiscus and fanned his tail feathers for all the world to see. I was used to squirrels jumping off Monica and Gary's roof and on to our fence while I worked in Sunnyvale, but not turkeys! I have another 11:00-12:30 call tonight and another 7:00 in the morning but the late hours are more the exception than the rule. This afternoon I planted more of my sprouted seeds in the vegetable garden that I am so proud of and then...tada... John taught me how to drive the Gator.... I never thought I'd drive a John Deere vehicle of any type, let alone a Gator but I gotta say, it felt like being on the Autopia at Disneyland but I was driving through the orchard and we even stopped and cut off a couple of bunches of bananas and picked a couple of papayas! Oh, I almost forgot, yesterday, late afternoon, we went down to the local beach just to chill and watch the waves and there off Ho'okena beach we saw dolphins jumping and flipping out in the water, so cool!
